lights covered or not?

what are u guys covering ur lights w/ if anything to keep the water from splashing up and hittin them?

I dont cover mine but you could use glass.

how far away from the water are they.

Mine are set up that the reflector is about 1" from the water and the bulb is about 4-5".

i dont have them covered with anything, so, i have to clean them a couple of times per week
