Anybody have any experience with this fish in a reef tank.

Many people, including some on this board have had no problems keeping sargassum triggers in their reef tanks. There's a chance that they'll eat snails and small hermit crabs, but even that risk is pretty small.

Thanks for the info dave, i'm getting one shortly so i wanted to make sure it would be compatable with my reef.

i used to catch them at the beach in south florida. I always caught them in saragassum weed floating on the waters surface. i floated something in the tank to help them feel at home, i.e. macro or even fake plant.

yeah you shouldnt have any problems with them
