A friend is selling his tank. I went to see what was for sale, & found a large infestation of Red Planaria (flatworms).

He has a bunch of nice clams.
Can the tank be treated with Salifert Flatworm Exit?
Does this treatment have any effect on clams?
Would it be better to do a FW dip, & scrub the shell with a toothbrush for flatworms?

Thanks for your advice.

I would not worry about it. Red flatworms are just another "pod" They are not harmfull in any way and actually can be a beneficial as a from of nutrient export.

i agree with acroporas, ive had them in the past and did nothing. one day they were gone and i haven't seen them in a few years.

people have used flatworm exit with clams without problems. remember to siphon out as many as you can before you treat and follow the directions to a T if you decide to use it. i wouldn't FWD the clam for this
