supposedly you're not supposed to keep some softies w/sps or lps. Now i've got a little of everything in my tank, so i dont know if this is true or not. But i would think that to a certain point it is. I've heard that zoas especially dont like being with other types of corals due to the chemicals that they put out.

Is there a reason you run the phosban? Do you have an alge problem?

The general reason people suggest not to mix softies and stonies is because many softies secrete toxins that can inhibit the growth of or kill stonies. But, Zonathids are not actually soft corals. They are subclass Hexacorallia, not Octocorallia. Actually more closely related to stonies than softies. My suggestion would be to ask in the Zoanthid sub-forum, probably more useful info there.
