From my experience they can become bullies when they get bigger. Mine is about 2 1/2 - 3 inches and he has shown some agressive behavior toward my fairy wrasses but no much. When he does get bigger I will be trading him in for a smaller one.

I've got one that's about 4 inches long, and he/she is very passive. I've never seen it act aggressive in any way. It's in a 40 gallon with a few other mellow fish and two cleaner shrimp. Go figure.

This is my second one (the first died in a pump failure incident). The first was also very passive. The LFS I bought both of these fish from has had one that's about 5 inches in a community reef with lots of other fsh for at least 3 yeard with no issue.

I've never talked to anyone with a vicious mystery wrasse like the one in that thread, but who knows. Mostly the complaints I hear from people is that the fish is a little shy.

I have a pair in an 180, and they are both very tame.
