Apogon leptacanthus (glass cardinals), I can see the eyes and the male is juggling the babies in his mouth:

Doubt I will raise these this time around but would like to be prepared next time. Any help would be groovy :)

Congratulations. These are my second favorite Cardinal next to Bangaii followed by Flame Cardinals as a close third. I would venture to guess that raising the babies would be like PJs and Bangaiis. After all, the male is doing the hard work for you.

But Bangaiis are not like the other cardinals,or any other fish for that matter!

With non-banggai cardinalfishes you´re still doing the hard work ! Harder than clownfishes. ;)

right on guys-
Banggais and Mirifica are Pterapogons, not apogons, and they hold the fry for an additional 10 days to get them past the planktonic phase.
The glass cardinal fry will require- either ss rotifers or most likely copepod nauplii as first foods and maybe problemtic, but you never know

Didn´t a prominent ex-dweller of this forum succeed with them?

If so, I would like the info even if it needs to be via PM for whatever reason. Thanks!
