So, im just starting a 29 gallon and id like opinions on drilling it. I plan to run a 10 gallon sump that will house the skimmer and heater (Not sure if a fuge will fit anywhere) and ive never been a fan of those U tube siphon deals that hang on the back.

im EXTREMELY wary of drilling my tank because I broke the last tank I tried to drill which was a 90 and forced me to get rid of my livestock and get out of the hobby...It turned out the back was tempered, it blew up into a million pieces (Manafacturer and sticker on tank both said that only the bottom and front were tempered (bowfront)

I dont want to go there again...

Id just like to drill 1 for the overflow and 1 for the return... Im stupid and already have a couple damsels in teh tank with livesand, etc. so I was hoping I could drain the water into a trashcan, pull the fish and leave the sand in and drill it while on the stand.

Any help would be appreciated, or even other solutions...
