hi guys posted a week or so ago about me having probs with soft/brittle montis and acro's, now ive also noticed this coinsides with them laying next to no base? they grow well upright but are not laying a base's, i used to do quite a few frags which always done well but now when i frag an acro, its fine for a week or so but then starts to show signs of rtn around the base which then turns into a form of rtn where the tissue slowly peels off? but the polyps on the frags will still be extended?

i was using a fair bit of kalk but am wondering if that may be adding to problems? kinda at a loss now, should i start pulling pumps to bits to see if some are rusty? could i be missing some trace elements, i have masses of pulse coral that i cant get shot of, the red sea type and elongata, could this be removeing something the acros need, also i have a monster cheato bed in my sump, between that and the xenia could it be stripping my tank of valubale trace elements??
