Should I be conserned with brown slime algea in my fuge? I run the timers on a reverse cycle and have a 4200k and a 6700k for lighting. I have chaeto and calairipa and both are growing great.

It shouldn't be a big concern since it will rarely migrate and grow in the display tank if the display has enough flow and has animals to eat it. What kind of flow do you have in the refugium? You could try to increase it.

As of now I have a mag 24 for my main return and the full flow of the drains run through the fuge. But most of the actual flow skims across the top of the fuge. There is minimal flow in the bottom.

So theres a lot of flow on the surface because of the mag24, but limited flow on the bottom. You could just let it grow or get some crabs or snails in there or get a powerhead and direct its flow towards where the algae is growing. The mag24 must cause a lot of turbulance in the sump right? You could find a way to direct some of this flow around the fuge without a powerhead too.
