I've always been an advocate of feeding Fresh to Fresh and Salt to Salt when speaking in terms of live food. My question is if I raise molly's in Salt water and feed them to such things as eels, lions etc... would this then be adequate food for them? Technically they would be salt water fish.
Why can't u feed them frozen or dead fresh foods?? Will they only eat live?? Its much easier and much healthier to feed a variety of frozen or fresh foods.

I don't know about healthier really... i would say that it is much easier to control a diet of frozens. also there is the cost issue and you'll need a steady supply of live of course. I actually think that the best live food for eels and lions would be SW feeder shrimp. can't comment on teh mollies though... don't really know.

I think gut-loaded saltwater acclimated mollies would be a good food BUT I think it is very important to offer a variety of foods. Maybe a base diet of gut-loaded mollies and ghost shrimp, with a diversity of frozen food offered about 1/4 to 1/2 of the time?

I totally agree with Lisa. Mollies should be fine, but variety is needed.
