In your opinion what is the best Protein Skimmer for the money, rated for a 75 gallon tank?

If you do not have a sump but may be planning for one in the future, I recommend the Tunze 9010.

It is small, quiet and productive, and can be reconfigured for sump placement. It can be upgraded for dry skimming with the 9015 collection cup and for higher volume wet skimming with the foam extraction unit. There is a very supportive Tunze forum on Reef Central (http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=92) so you are never far from help.

If you already have a sump, there appear to be many skimmers on the market that are less expensive.

While best is subjective a tunze 9010 will skim your 75 gallon system very well, and will allow you to get a larger system/sump down the road that you can still use the 9010 for, not cheap but a great unit.
If you already have a sump an aquaeuro classic 135/250 would work great as would a 135 recirc. Nice skimmers for the money.

Right now the best skimmer for the money is the AquaEuro USA skimmers. Can't beat their cost. Built and performs great. I have a 135 classic on my 90 gal mixed reef. I didn't expect a quality skimmer for such a low price.
