I had an eight inch Lionfish, and a four inch one also. I had them in a 120 with my 12-16" Snowflake Eel. It has been said that Eels are natural Predators of Lionfish although my Eel was too small to eat either of my Lionfish. The thing is that when I had the Lions my Eel hid for several days, never coming out to eat. The same day, or the day after I got rid of the Lions the Eel came out, and got back into his daily routine.

I always thought it was ANGLERS that are natural predators of lionfish, and vice versa (whoever is smaller gets eaten).

Snowflakes are more of a crustacean eating eel, not a fish eater. I've never considered them or zebra morays much of a threat to fish, especially larger fish. Also, your eel was small relative to the lions. I can imagine they made it nervous.
