Please Help? How is it possible???

How is it possible to take 10mb macro pics of my coral and then resize it to a 50k size and make it look good??? I have seen some amazing pics here that are just under the posting limit. Can anyone shed some light on this??? I have a Cannon S3 IS that takes amazing point and shoot macro but after resizing looks like crap... I am using the free software "infaview" and would love to show my tank pics.... any help cuz this is frustrating...

It's possible to make 10mb pics look good at very small file sizes but the 50k size limit is for non-picture attachments You don't need to limit your pics to that size if you can upload the images to a website. This article (http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-03/gr/index.php) will teach you how to do all this stuff- everything from shrinking the image down to a viewable size to finding a decent image hosting site to posting the pics in threads here on RC. Holler if you need help with any of the steps.

Nope- you can use one of the many photo hosting sites like photobucket etc., and a handful of them are listed in that article.
