I have purchased a 20 gallon setup with ten gallon sump.
My plans for this tank are SPS dominate.
Here are the specs:
Clear for life 20 gallon acrylic tank drilled tank two ¾ drilled holes in the back and one on the bottom to sump. I am not sure if this is called a closed Loop but I am doing a simple plumbing with a SCWD. I have loc-line for to create the flow in the main tank. For the sump I have an Aqua C Urchin and a Mag 9 pump with a 100w Hydor heater. I will have a small refugium there also. I will be adding the same refugium lighting done at melev’s reef. But for now I will use my jalli cube lighting which is 36 watts the lighting I am using for the display tank is 175watt MH 10k bulb (will find out brand.) For cooling there are 4 fans in the canopy.
I still have my old 10lb of LR but I will be keeping it in the refugium. I plan to get shelf rock and some regular piece to make my aquascaping (if you have some for sale LMK)
I also bought another 10lbs of fine white sand.
From the first day I started I have not been using a heater.
My temp is at 78-80
Right now my temp is around 75-76
I have added a azoo fan ( two fan version) on my sump . I have the AC on not because of the tank to keep my kitties cool.
