Well i went to bed last night all was fine, had my cover on the bottom of the powerhead and i woke up this morning to find pwer head cover blown off and my porky puffer sucked underneath it. He has a real big "hicky" like thing on the top of his head and a ring where the powerhead sucked on it. im assuming he was stuck for over an hour before i found him. How long does it take for the hicky thing to go away? thanks in advance.

Interesting... mine eats powerheads. He's destroyed at least 4 so far, but he's never gotten stuck... I've just gotten used to the powerheads without the screen on the bottom, b/c the second I replace them he tears them up again... And also b/c of him I can't have a single dangling wire in the tank, he's jolted him self too! LOL, gotta love puffers...

As far as your guy as long as he's acting normal I wouldn't worry about it, he'll be fine and that "hicky" should go away in a couple weeks...

Ha, had a puffer do that in the middle of the night and pulled it off. Then the carpet anemone ate it while I was at work, did you see the pics I posted on that? WOW!

i had a puffer that got it's face stuck to the intake, deflated and sheepishly swam away after i turned off the pump.
Apart from a slight hicky, i never saw any ill effects.
