I bought these two off a website for not a lot of money, they were both being sold as montiporas!

Any ideas on id?

Both echinophyllia. Very pretty, especially the second one. Can you say the name of the pet store? They were pretty far off with monitopra. Good Luck.

they're in the UK so I'm guessing of not much use to you, thanks for the IDs

I agree with enchinophyllia on the first one. I think the second one is a n Oxypora, due to the distinctive pimpling surface. Both are commonly called Chalice corals here.

Echino and oxypora.

GMAX and Ryan are correct, I was a little hasty in my echino reference to the second coral. Oxyporas typically have large "eyes" that are not very disctinctive in the photo. Love them both.
