He is about 1.5inches and is a smasher, he has what looks to be black/white spots on his appendages. I cant get the pic small enough to fit on here I will email pics to anyone willing to help, just drop me your email address. He is also a green/purple color.

The tips of his pereiopods are orange/yellow, its teh same with the tips of his uropods. When I first got him he was a bright green, he was about .75inches then, then I thought he died and I just found him today and pulled him out. The tip sof his antennules and antenna are orange as well.

I've seen a mantis shrimp just like that before. I want to say viridis, but I don't think that is it......

thanks pea. does anyone else have any idea what it might be? He looks like he has more of a red color to him now.

i thought red usually meant N. wennerae. that's my guess. any idea where he originates?

no some guy at the LFS found him on a some coral and was going to flush him, so I figured id just take him, he was free :)
