I posted this in the Fish disease forum but have had no responses. I was wondering if this is Brook, or something else. It almost appears as an ulcer on the side of the clown. I need to begin treatment as he has not shown any signs of improvement. He continues to eat well and is very active. I thought it might have been an injury rather than a disease so I did not quarantine right away. None of the other fish show any signs of infection, and it has not progressed any. It has looked like this for a few weeks now. So if it is a disease it is not a very fast moving one.

From the pics it look like a fungus. You need to put it in a hospital tank and treat with something like marycn or some other antibacterial treatment.

nitrofurazone bath....1/4 tsp per 20 gallons, everyother day with a 25% water change in between. ONLY in a hospital tank
