Three months in and I'm not happy at all how my rock work looks. I thought I wanted to have a wall for a while, but nope not thrilled with it anymore. If you can snap a pic of your 90g it be sweet to kick off new ideas. :D

Seanb, I like yours the most... but that design relly looks great if you keep the background clean to highlight the open space . JMO

Thanks Whisperer, I have spent the last 8 months getting as much coralline to grow as possible. Now that it is fairly established on the rocks I will clean the back and see how it looks.

seanb, it will look very neat, clean and uncluttered. Pics when you do decide to clean the back. Don't worry about coralline, it will take off. Tip: brush the existing coralline gently with a soft toothbrush before you scrape them off the back wall. Make sure you have good calcium and Mg levels.

Wow, these are some really nice 90's!
Emster, how old is your tank? I hope mine fills in like that someday.
Also, I see you are using 250W 14K MH. What brand of lamp are you using? I want to switch out my 10K's for 14K this summer.

I would also be interested to know what brand is it. I'm currently using the Hamilton bulbs 14 k and really like it

Thanks guys for the kind words. The tank is just over two years old and the lights are aquaconnects 14K 250watt SE. These bulbs are $120.00 each but I love them. I just started a thread in the SPS forum called "Just wanted to share some recent pics of my 90" There are some up close pics and I'm going to be posting more pics tonight. I don't want to high jack this thread so please feel free to ask questions over there. You can do a search on me to find it. Thanks again.

You have to play around with the shape of each rock. Kinda like putting a puzzle together if that helps any.

If you pull out that one big piece of branch rock, could you have a pass through with all the other pieces staying in place?
Mojo Jojo
05/15/2007, 10:03 PM
frederickk - Thanks, yet I still a lot to do with my photo skills.
plyr58 - Umm to be honest I dont know? I cant move any rock if that is what you are wondering? I epoxy the hell out of everything. Gave it a good shock, and nothing came apart. It will be hard to re-aquascape yet I'm willing to burn some time taking the epoxy apart.
plyr58
05/15/2007, 10:06 PM
If everything is epoxyed it should hold above it. Just thought a pass through hole would be really cool. That is what I am planning on doing with my 90 gal once i get rock in it this week. If no rock is behind it I would give it a shot.

plyr58 - That would be a huge hole lol. That rock is a little less than half of my overflow.
