I bought this aquarium with sand, it was a very very fine grade, almost like a powder. I swear the guy said it was tahitian or haitian or something similar. What kind is this?!?! He said it was very expensive, but I love the way it made the tank look. Please, I need help. Google failed me.

in case you're new, save your life and don't spend much time (at all) looking for the Southdown brand. It has become nigh-impossible to find anymore, under that name or Old Kastle. Good luck!

caribsea has oolitic sand. pricier than SD, but it still makes a great functional sandbed.
