how long in the bag?

ive received numerous live shipments on line where the fish have been in the bag overnight. my question is that i want to go buy fish on my lunchbreak frm my lfs but i wont be able to get them out of the bag for around 7hrs, i will keep them in my office until i leave. will this be ok?

As long as the temp is stable. Also ask them to put the fish/whatever in a bigger bag than normal. Having a cooler on hand would work for your benefit as well.

People who ship fish overnight fill the bags with oxygen. If your LFS does this, you should be fine. Just try to avoid temperature extremes while they're in the bags. If you don't have a cooler, wrap them in a blanket or jacket to help insulate them.
