My clonw is scratching her cheeks against the rocks.She has no visible marks...All my par. are good,Barely a reading on nitrate.Any ideas?
2 days ago i put some sand from there old tank in and it was cloudy for a day.Could this have got in her gill and be bothering her..my other clown seems fine.They are both eating

Could be parasite, could just be an itch. She's obviously has some sort of irritation causing her to do this. I doubt it's from the sand though, unless something slithered in with the sand, like gill flukes or whatever (just an example, not a suggestion).

if it was me, i'd already have that puppy in qt. scratching is a good indicator of ich or some other parasite. i think there are a few that cause them to scratch, but ich being the most common.

Alex said it well, if it's enough to cause concern, which obviously it is since youre here asking, get the fish in question into a QT and watch there instead. It may be nothing at all, but if it's ich for instance, than catching it early can make all the difference in the world for her recovery. (course if it's ich, than all fish need to be QTed regardless of them showing signs, if it's in the tank, it's in the tank)
