Considering going from DSB to BB, I have a 75 non-drilled tank, HOB Remora C Pro Skimmer with filter box, 2 ea 820 Seios and 300 gph ehiem canister. Every thread I read talks about needing more flow, ozone, more skimming etc,...
Looking for comments/suggestions.

More flow is a must, whereas the extra skimming, ozone, etc. would make maintaining it much easier. The main thing is to ensure that detritus is removed in one way or another--whether it is siphoning it out of a particular spot or utilizing a protein skimmer to do some of it for you.
no sump and fuge? you will need something new to remove the nitrates as you will eliminate your current remover...

I'm more concerned about the skimming capabilities of my HOB Remora. I can add more internal flow but if the key is to get the detrius out of the tank, I'm not so confident of the HOB.
I guess that if it's in suspension, eventually the HOB would get it, other than the area's it collects in.
I am concerned however that just getting everything in suspension. floating around the tank would allow bad levels pf toxics to increase which may not be good for the livestock.
When it comes down to it, do you think the Remora can cut it?

Wojo,
No sump or fuge, your right. Thats why I'm asking, seems I'm going to be asking alot of my LR. Guess I would have to make it up with regular large water changes.
I have about 90 lbs of LR, may have to increase this, but if I can increase flow, skim wet and do water changes, I'm thinking this might off set my closed system deficiencies.

Amphiprion,
After living in Biloxi for over 25 years, my condolences on Katrina, hope it didn't affect you much. Thanks for the advice.
How much flow do you recommend?

IMO for a 75 gallon bb, I would go with 2 Hydor 4s or 2 tunze 6000 on controllers, or 2 vortecs pumps on each side of the tank for either set up. To create a swirl effect.
