Interesting Trigger Behaviour

I've noticed in the past week or so, my two year old trigger (3 inches) has been moving around all my CC and putting it on top of all the LR in the tank. I've watched him do this over and over again. He'll go to the same spot in the tank and get a mouthful of CC and swim to a rock and spit it on top of the rock. Over and over again. I've never seen this behaviour before. Any ideas?

you're lucky it took him it two yrs to start, most triggers do the substrate spitting constantly, it's normal behavior. be thankful you've got CC not sand :)
