I need some help deciding how to stock my 20 gallon nano tank.

Here are some specs:
• It's a 20 gallon hexagon tank
• Measures 15" across from side to side, and 18" from corner to corner. It stands 24" tall.
• It is has a Coralife 150 watt HQI hang-on fixture with a 14,000k bulb like this: http://www.hellolights.com/aqadhatamo.html
• It has plenty of live rock (approximately 40 lbs)
• 2 1/2 inch sand bed
• Currently no fish, but will be adding a clownfish, citron goby, royal grama, and a yellow tail damsel

The filtration is where my tank falls a little short. There is no skimmer or sump since the tank is in my office at work and I was limited on the setup. I may be able to add a sump down the road when I move to a new office this fall. In addition to the live rock, I'm using a canister filter with various media and carbon.

I have already added a few colonies of zooanthids and mushrooms that are doing well. I was considering adding a green bubble coral. Any suggestions? There isn't a lot of space horizontally, but I have my live rock stacked to the full height of the 24" tall aquarium. So I do have some room to work with.

Perhaps just the clown and one other fish, plus a bubble tip anemone. I think your lighting would suffice. Four fish in a 20G nano seems like a hefty bioload to me, especially considering you don't have a skimmer.

Will a bubble tip anemone stay in on place? Prefforable on the sand? I've had Cody anemones that roam around and seem to always pick the worst possible place to make their home.

Bubble tips prefer rocks high up in the light and current. Like all nems, they will wander until they find a spot they like, but usually stay there once settled.
