Changing the food

I have a yello clow goby that I would like to move from my tank to the tank where I work. The difficulty lies that I have been feeding him mysis shrimp and Rod's food for a few months and we feed nothing but flake at work because I am only there two days and it needs to be simple and pretty much clean for the other guys to deal with it. I have tried feeding it flake and pellets but it is to no avail. If I do move him and he sees the clownfish eating flake, do you think he would learn or just die? Is there a method to transfer the diet?

I'd continue trying flake food at home until he starts eating it, then transfer. Transferring beforehand may just result in a dead fish. If he won't eat it in the tank he calls home, I think he is less likely to eat it in a new tank where he will be more frightened. Just my thoughts.
