Anyone have experience with these from Drs. Foster/Smith? I'm planning to buy two of them to go over my 40 gal breeder. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have used this kit in the past. I was very pleased with it's performance/value.. It was my first time using retro HO T5's, and I was impressed by how bright they were in person. some will argue that the reflectors are less than desirable, but I thought they were descent..If your a reefer on a budget like I am, it's the way to go..and the price is right too!

Decent reflectors, but will not using a glass cover on the reflectors damage the reflections from the salt?

I did not use glass covers over my tank. the bulbs and reflectors were approx 7-8 inches from the rim of the tank. I had very little, to no salt creep build up what soever,,hope that helps!

Thanks for the info Con. Cichlids...I even found them cheaper at Hellolights.com. $100 for the kit with free bulbs. I think I'm going to give them a shot.
