Just put my new T-5 light on http://www.petsolutions.com/Nova+Extreme+HO+T5+Fixtures-I-42901121-I-C-40001722-C-.aspx

This is quite a step up from the standard single bulb aquarium light that just came off. Should I transition everything to this new light or just turn them on and let it go. Right now I have the atonics coming on an hour before the 10k’s and leaving them on for an hour after 10k’s go out. Then the moon lights come on. How long should the light cycle be?

No need to acclimate anything IMO. Certain corals can be sensitive to changes in light but the corals that you have that I know of they should be fine without any acclimation to the new lights. I would say just go for it

I have the 8 bulb nova and do the same. Haven't had any problem with sensitivity from the few corals I have. I've read quite a few differing opinions on the TF's but I have a clam and some LPS and all are doing fine.

I have been doing 12 hours actinic 10 hours full lights. I would recommend 10 - 12 hours actinic and 8 - 10 hours with the white lights depending on your preference. It may be best to start with 10 actinic 8 full to start with and than move up from there so you can monitor your corals and algae growth...
