I am currently working on a 75g Montipora Only tank (http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=875880). I've been detailing the tank log in the Central Oklahoma Marine Aquarium Society board, but thought that I would share some of my livestock here in the SPS board. Let me know what you think about some of my stuff. Here was my last post detailing what I have currently....

My Current Livestock
Even though the 75g isn't actually running, I got some new livestock for the tank that is sitting and growing in my 29g until I get this tank ready. Here are some pictures.

Purple Cap
I got this frag from Adam a while back as a thank you for helping him frag some stuff, and it surely has taken off recently. It is a gorgeous piece with a maroon body and blue polyps.

Orange Digi
I got this frag from Donny and Lori in Tulsa a while back at the OMAS Frag Swap. The pictures don't really show where it has grown very well because the camera can't get to it, but it has made a tremendous amount of growth. More outward than upwards. I disturbed it, so it's retracted right now.

My Newest Additions!
I just picked up all of these at Aquarium Oddballs Sunday morning before heading back home from the OMAS meeting. They are outstanding. You'll have to excuse the lack of polyp extension. They had just recently been placed in the tank, so they will take some time to get used to it.

Green Cap
I wanted to get the Neon Green Cap that Scott had, but I just couldn't break the bank for it. Instead, I got this more tempermental Green Cap for a lot cheaper. I'll have to go back and get the Neon Green Cap later.

Purple Base with Neon Green Polyps Cap
I'm very excited about this one. I had it once before and it had started growing, but the lightbulb meltdown that I had wiped it away. It's nice to have a replacement for it. The base is a little bleached, but it should come back as a deep purple.

Red Cap
Really, this is just a simple Red cap. Nothing special, but I like it! It already has quite a few tiny plates.

Green Body with Purple Polyps Danae
This is another frag of one that I had previously lost. I'm excited to get this one back as well as it used to be my best grower.

White Body with Green Polyps Cap
This is a gorgeous piece that I have yet to see available in Oklahoma until now. I think it might be slightly bleached out in color, but who knows. It's beautiful and was about 2" across for $45. Well worth it! I can't wait to see this one grow out.

I also have quite a few other Montiporas currently being held by a friend. I can't wait to get them back, expecially my Superman.

Since my 75g tank will essentially be a research tank, I've been documenting the growth of my corals. Here are some shots that I've taken.

I really liked my montis too, until I got an infestation of monti eating nudis :furious: A few pieces look like they may end up surviving, but I've lost most of my montis; you don't really relize how many montis you have until they all die on you :(

Be real careful and dip all new montis that you get, even healthy looking ones can carry those nasty little things.

J. Montgomery, you don't have to worry about that here. Even though I didn't get to QT them like I normally would like to, they did go through a rigorous inspection, and they all passed.

MoCha920, Even though there is a variety of colors out there, I'm more into the shapes that Montiporas can make. On top of that, the 75g will be a research tank and the colors won't make a different in what I would like to do. On the other hand, I have some special pieces already coming my way. I'll post pics of them as soon as I get them back. Also, I'm running 250w XM 15,000ºK SE MH with 65w Current Actinic PC's. The Montiporas sit at roughly 100-110 PAR. If the pictures seem whiter, it's because I've adjusted the white balance on my camera to show more accurate color under whiter conditions.
