Hey Scott - was just looking at those light hanger systems - they look pretty cool. Is there a max weight for the SLB2? I am considering a 48" fixture above my 64" tank but a couple options are rather heavy.

Also I assume they have been rigorously tested and won't "flex" at all? Would you just screw the plates in studs in the wall? Are there any more pix of them in use, or just more detailed shots? I'm very interested.

Thanks,

David

Hello David, I will find out the max weight for you. Not sure but it's suitable for, "All types of metal halide fixtures".

Hi,

We've tested them with many fixtures and have had no problems. There is a picture on our blog that shows the SLB2 with a 48" Solaris at Saltwater U. There is also another picture of the SLB1 at LIGHTFAIR. PFO uses our LampTree exclusively at all shows to show off their fixtures.

They were intially made to attach to an aquarium stand, but we modified it so you can attach it to a wall. Just remove the feet turn them around and put them back on and you can mount it flush to the wall.

Hope this helps,
