Gobies and Blennies are very territorial and usually won't accept another each other.

In a 55 gallon, they might not ever get along and eventually one might kill the other.

Caution is always observed when mixing them.

Any other thoughts and suggestions, what should I do for tonight?

Do you have a sump that you can seperate them until a trip to the LFS?

Its upsetting; I looked at all of the compatibility charts, and asked people on here, I was under the impression that these fish would get along...

I know that different animals react differently but every gobie I've ever gotten fights with my Bi-Color Blenny and he leaves everything else alone.

Maybe others have see them being model citizens but I haven't seen it.

Did you separate them ;last night? Are they still fighting each other?

Yeah they are separated, I'm moving here in a couple of months and I plan on getting a larger tank, do you think when both are introduced to a new/larger tank the aggressiveness will stop?

It should. I would think your smaller tank is giving them territory issues.

Good Luck!

if your goby is being harassed, you may want to make sure your top is covered....they are FAMOUS jumpers.

I have both in a 210, diamond stays in the sand, lawnmower stays in the rocks, I don't think they ever met.

Lawn mower blenny's are notorius for being pests sometimes. They are probalby the most mis behaved of the bunch. They are not bad charachters, they just seem to have more of a dominant personality then some of the other blenny's. Bi colrs can be a bit nasty as well.

I also have a lawnmower blenny and a diamond goby, in a 125. I have no problems with them getting along with each other, or any of my other fish.
Maybe yours just dont have enough room.
