Im doing all my research and setup ideas before i start doing my buying and building so i can have a system i like for the price i can afford i was looking at some protien skimmers and was wondering which skimmer was better these are the two i liked most Aqua C in sump skimmer or a precision marine bullet series skimmer. Im thinking of doing an all in one sump. so the skimmer will more than likely be in the sump.

The truth is that nobody really knows. The good news is that both of those skimmers have a reasonable reputation. I'd probably go with the Aqua C, but that's based more on guessing than actual data.

try using the search link. There has been tons of discussion on this subject. There are twice as many opinions as actual skimmers. Best advice is buy a good one!

i would suggest the tunze 9010, seems like everyone that has bought one loves it..........

Would the Tunze 9010 be overkill in the 20G sump of my 75G tank?
I'm thinking of feeding the drain straight to it.
Thanks...

I have a 125g and run an Aqua C EV150 (replaced by the EV180) and it works like a champ. It was a little finicky at first, but once dialed and broken in, it runs very consistently and produces 1/2 to 1 cup of skimmate per day. I don't have any experience with Tunze or the Marine Bullet, so I can't say if my Aqua C is better or worse. But, I can tell you that the Aqua C does work, and very well at that. BTW-I have the Aqua C running externally because of poor planning on my part, but it will run just fine in sump as well.
