Can anyone tell me what this is? It is about 7" x 5" and the green really stands out in person, this pic does not do it justice. And is it worth anything?

I'm going to take a guess and say some type of Encrusting Montipora??

Not sure, I'm not an expert lol, i do know some id's.

thats what I figured but my lfs said he had no clue and he had never seen it before.

I would guess more like Mycedium or like Echinopora or one of those that always fakes me out as a Turbinaria.

edit: FWIW, the montis generally have a very small polyp flush with the surface, even bumpy ones. See how those corallites(the little polyp enclosures where they come out of) are actually raised bumps off the skeleton? so that makes it only one of a thousand other corals now :D
