View Full Version : Are these parasites?

I was looking at my tank, and noticed all these “bugs” on the glass. They looked different than the coepods. They have a white/clear appearance (like the pods), but had small green or red center. These are very small, like the pods. The only thing I have in this tank is my dragon eel (of course). He is not acting different and is showing no abrasions or anything, although, he does hide a lot making it hard to tell for certain. I was not sure if these creatures were isopods are some other parasite, or maybe something harmless. Figured I would ask the experts. I attached two pictures, sorry for the bad quality. Have not mastered the hole picture-taking thing. Any feedback would be very much appreciated.

Pix are real blurry but they could be some kind of barnacle. The center is the foot. I have some that live in my skimmer column.

I certainly don't want to waste my time asking a bunch of amateurs. Where can we find the real experts? :lolspin:
