Leopard Question

This is wrong right? Isn't the "male" really ornatus and the "female" reall melagris? ...or have I beed wrong all these years? or is this a new classification?

I have always thought that the Melagris were very similar in appearance between sexes.
When referring to Ornates are you talking about: Halichoeres ornatissimus

If so these aren't even true Leopards.

I alway thought the ornatus looked similar compared the to the different look to the meleagris. This should help you out. Look at the bottom of the page.
