Well the specimen is about 1/2 way in 18' deep 25 gal has 130 watt compact 10 hrs a day. Moderate water movement kind of shows pointed skeletal at where head attatches to stem. Calcium is 320 trying to raise it put 1tsp A&B yesterday. Can you put another today? ph 8.4 nitrite 0 nitrate 0 amonia 0 phosphate 0 carbonate 8 salinity 1.025 anyone know if this is normal lost my torch last week. Tank is prior set up was purchased and I've had it going 2 months now and water has been stable.

2 months too soon for these corals. Also doing your weekly water changes should be enough to stablize calcium with no stock. I say slow down. Get your cleanup crew going add some little fishy , then some easier coral like zoos or shrooms. Then think about the LPS corals. Ive tried 2 torchs and both died. Im waiting for the 1 year mark ( its right around the corner ) to try again. And pls dont use tap. Also whene adding new coral its best to turn lights off overnight and let them adjust. Pc lighting alright for softies and some LPS'S but torchs are harder to accumulate Some will disagree but i see torch threads very often in here. You need patiants with this hobby.

I use only ro/di and do weekly but calcium still at 320 starting to use A&B to get it up .

You probably need to add a lot more calcium supplement. That calculator should help. Just ignore the part about "balanced" alkalinity.

Hey Ronny, were you able to bring your trumpet back to good health? Mine isn't looking so hot now either. It's been healthy for the longest time. I put a frogspawn in the tank recently and it did well for about a week, but then it completely dwindled away as well. Any thoughts?http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/162191trumpet2.JPG
