Can any one offer and suggestions on getting rid of algae growing on a damaged area of my brain coral?

I tried scrubbing it off and moving it to a shaded area of the tank,
But the algae is still growing and the flesh is still receding.

I should say that mo my tank is'nt rampant with a algae or anything either.
I get the normal film algea on the glass, But thats about it.

check the parameters and make adj. figure out why it's receding in the first place.

My Parameters are 0 across the board.
The original cause was my clowns hosting in it.

Try putting it in a low flow low light part of the tank if you can.

too bad it is a brain. branchy corals can be fragged down to the growing part to fix that.

I have found that just keeping the coral healthy was enough in some cases, the coral reclaimed that area. I pruned any possible as well..
