well first your should start by picking a pump. I would recoment an external pressure rated pump like one of these
http://www.customaquatic.com/customaquatic/subsubcategorypage.asp?subcatindexid=wp-aq-md
most of these would use either a 3/4" or 1" bulkhead. next you would need to drill your tank. you may be able to find someone in your area to do it for you (look to see if you have a local aquarium club), or you can order a diomond coated bit off of ebay, like this one (keyword, glass hole saw)

finally you would need to plumb it. check out my tank thread to see a big closed loop on a 90 gallon tank

the last thing that i would recomend are penductors. these are little jet nozzle type things that make your flow more concentrated.. or something like that. i'm not sure how they work, and i don't use them myself, but you shoudl check into them. oh yea, check in to SCWD's as well. these will give you a nice wave like back and forth flow.

look at this thread (http://www.sdreefs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23750) for diy eductors. (lots cheaper)
i would recomend a sequence dart for a closed loop.
also look at melev's reef (http://www.melevsreef.com/allmysumps.html) for sump/fuge info

The SCWD is not that reliable. If you have the extra money try getting an OceansMotion.

My super squirt works flawlessly and the customer service is superb.

AMEN to the OM.. I've got one... absolutly AWESOME... and there customer service is second to none.

Get the super squirt compact and make sure to leave plenty of room for the plumbing (it's gunna take 1 inlet and 4 outlets).

You could also really randomize the flow by adding the OM revolutions to the returns... THey're on the OM website too...

GREAT GREAT GREAT products and even better customer service.

who do you mean?
on my 90 gallon tank, i figure i am getting about 2600gph or 2700gph out of my dart, so around 30 x / hr
