I am going to be buying a 70g tank that is 30 long 18 deep and 30 high with 1/2 inch glass that doesn't have a rim. I was hoping to have something similar to the aqualight where it can sit on the outside using legs. Unfortunately, they only come in 24 and 36 inch fixtures. I cannot seem to find any brand name that will fit onto my tank.

also i am unable to hang it

any info would be much appreicated

I dont have personal experience but they make a 30" one of these:

I also thought I read that Aquactinics were/are making legs that will extend the 24" TX5 light to sit on a 30" tank. You might want to ask about that in the Aquactinics forum.

I just went through the same problem on my 20L propagation tank. It is just a standard tank so I just bought a canopy and staggered 4 x 24w T-5 retrofits. On a rimless tank however, Im sure you want to see that the tank is rimless so a canopy is out I assume? No point in spending that extra money only to hide it right?

I know you said you couldnt hang the fixture but that would mean a ton of extra fixtures you could look at....

Put one Luminarc lll mini stealth DE pendent over it. You can hang it form the cealing.

I've seen tanks where people place vertical beams next to their tanks connected by a horizontal piece, and have the lights hang from that. Maybe this would be an option for you.

Sorry I missed that part in your thread. Well like the person above me mentioned you could make a suspension structure for your lighting.
