After about 5 months of having a fuge, I decided to upgrade it with a better design, now it has fuctionality:

Any suggestions, I have heard it was supposed to roll like this, but am I doing it right? The pods are getting dizzy, lol.

Why does it need to roll???I would think as long as You have water flowing through it it will grow and do it`s job.Never heard it has to roll.

I know I'm an idiot but what is cheato? What does it do, where does it come from?
I know Cheetos, I dont know cheato.

The idea is to have it roll, but once it grows and fills the fuge, you will lose interest in making that happen. My fuge is a 30L and is full of chaeto. It doesnt spin or move and grows like mad anyway.

Chaeto is a macro algae. It is used for nutrient export. the macro uses up excess nutrients in the water to help filter it.

I have read its supposed to roll to get light to all of it, but mine doesnt move and is doing fine.

Does anyone actually make it roll consistently over a long period of time? Is it worth the extra effort. I don't want the nuisance algae to plague this fuge like it did my last one. Thanks for the input...

Not worth the effort. As before, I have a 30L that has LR Rubble on the bottom and is stuffed with chaeto. It has flow across the top and grows like crazy with no movement.
