I have a light mover on my tank that stops wherever it happens to be when the MH light goes out. what would be the best way to get it to go to a "home" position at night? the reason being is if it stops on the left side of the tank it blocks a fan somewhat.
Would the best way to accomplish this to use a limit switch that if open after a certain time would keep the mover going until it reaches the right side triggering the switch? or is there another easier way? I just started thinking about this tonight and thought I'd throw it out to all you programming gurus :)

With feedback on the lights position, I'm not sure how you would do it. I think it is going to require a limit switch of one type or another.

so would it be as easy as the following:
If Time > 10:30 Then MVR ON
If Time > 21:30 Then MVR OFF
IF SWITCH Open Then MVR ON
IF SWITCH Closed Then MVR OFF

Use a limit switch on the end i'd like the mover to stay at "home" also would the time statement overide the switch statement? My next project will be to try and move the light across the tank once during the day :)
