I have a BC29. I'd like to swap out my stock pump for one that is more quiet. Unfortunately, every pump claims to be quiet, along with being energy efficient, etc.

Does anyone know of a pump that is truly quieter?

Thanks.

Yeah, put in an MJ1200. I never even used the stock one, took it out first thing. Works great, and is more flow too

Has anyone tried the Pentair Aquatics/Rainbow Lifegard Quiet One? MarineDepot has it. It's more expensive that the MJ1200, but I'd be willing to pay for if it is in fact quiet.

I had mj1200 and it was too loud for me. My parents also have a tank with mj1200 and it's also noisy

go with the MJ900 its a little less flow, but less than half the power, which means less heat...
