LOVING the keyless chuck fellas !

This little beauty was only $49.99 from Harbor Freight.
The sale ends on June 25th!
GET THERE GANG !!
This guy is regularly $79.99 !

It may be small but it is definately not a toy.
It has already cut through 1/2" plate like butter ( with lubricant ofcourse) at 620 RPM.
( OFCOURSE I HAVE ALREADY TESTED IT LOL!!)

Now the world will be introduced to a new and improved style of "Wayner" D.Y.I objects LOL!

Be warned... the power switch housing will soon break off of the front of the machine :)

I purchased one several years back and have got a good bit of use out of it. The bearing runout is not the greatest, nor is the taper runout and the quill has a bit more play than it should, but I am not a precision metal worker so it does just about everything I would ever ask. You just have to be a bit more careful when you line things up.

I replaced the chuck on mine with a much better unit ( I hate fumbling with crummy jacobs chucks). The unit DID have an MT-2 (Morse 2) taper on the spindle side. That was good (not oddball). So you can use tapered endmills etc in the units (I would hope the new ones are the same).

The "delta" of the same size is not much better and a LOT more expensive.

FWIW if you NEED to be more precise you can try to use a "wiggler" to find the true center.
