Low temperature

Hey.

I have notice things have not going well lately in my mixed reef tank. I have done all most every test known to man and every thing is within range. The only thing I didn't check for was my temperature.For sometime now my heater must off been broken and the tank has been sitting on 22c.Can cold temps over a period of time cause major damage to a reef aquarium.

I've lost a number of fish to failed heaters, and I'm sure corals can have problems, too. I use two heaters and a temperature controller in my tanks now.

Depends on the species, some might even be happier at 72 F/22 C. Natural reef temperatures vary quite a bit, as long as you stabilize the temperature (replace the heater), I think you'll be fine.
