Hi,

I'm looking at the 72" mh/t5 combo.

How far off the water should this be mounted?

And, is it truly 72" wide, or is it slightly narrower?

Any heat issues with mounting inside a canopy that has ~ 8" of clearence between top + water?

andyco,

Our 72" MH/T5 fixture is designed to sit right on top of the tank. What size tank do you have or are planning on getting? The fixture is exactly 72" long and most 72" long tanks are more like 72 1/4" to 72 1/2" long depending on manufacture. The is no heat issue with our MH/T5 fixtures when inside a canopy as long as both ends of the fixture (were the fans are) are unobstructed. This usually means drilling vent holes in your canopy to allow for the proper airflow. As long as this is done you shouldn't have any problems.

Thank you,

Tom
