Hi
I bought a couple mushroom rocks one deffinetly has mushrooms on it,the other has what i guess is a yuma as it has bumps on the mouth as well.Im confused between hairy mushrooms and yumas.
Also is mine sick i see that some have there mouthes open and i seen some brownish slime coming out.there in the middle of a 120. i had them right in the flow of my back filter,i have moved them now to no flow.the lighting i have is compact flouescent actinic and regular 265 total watts.the mushrooms have gotten big and really opened up.the yumas have stayed about the same size as when i got them.I have had them about a week.
thanks

with ricordea (yumas and floridas), the bumps are in the shape of a sphere. Hair mushrooms the bumps are not.

Ok well that makes it simple then its deffinetly a ric,and from what ive read the yumas have the bumps on there mouthes and the floridas do not.
wish i could post pics on here, would make things so much easier.
after looking at more i think they are hairy shrooms.

looks to me those are florida ricordea. Those are a common color these days. If you have more than one mouth on one, try cutting it in half between the mouths, you will end up with 2

Here, read through this: http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=10097871#post10097871 While the actual post on the thread is about Ricordea yuma and Ricordea florida, the article linked to it helps you identify Coralimorphs down to genus level quite easily.
