Anyone have experience acclimating zoas to temperate tanks - aka 68F?

I dont know if thats a good idea personally, does it ever get that cool in the ocean where they grow?
What would you want to do that for? Im just wondering because i think it sure would slow growth and possibly affect the colors as well IF they can survive in those temps sustained over a period of time.

You could try it with a small frag then see what happens. Good Luck.

I'm guessing you want zoas in your SH tank? What about keeping the tank temp a little closer to the higher range for the ponies? I dropped my reef temp down to 72-74 six weeks ago and I have not seen any ill effects on my zoas (or other corals for that matter). HTH
