Pictures are great--nice to see---are you planning a sump and refugium?

I don't think that I will need a sump or refugium because my main occupants will be Seahorses.

More Info: My tank is a 55 gal. DAS system which has the filtration in the back and includes a protein skimmer. I don't like the look of power heads so I built a close loop spray bar system out of PVC and painted it black.

sorry meant to compliment you on that closed loop system--thinking of adding that one myself

I would think that would depend on your anticiapted flow/filtration rate per hour.

Nice lr. Keep us posted with pics as you progress:) oh and i liked how you made your closed loop blend in with painting it black. Have you used black sand before? If so does it hide any algae outbreaks? Looks really cool. If i ever upgrade i think i will try to use black sand.
