Hey Mike

You know where I am. Hope you can come up to Grand Forks sometime...now that the gas prices are "lower!!!"

we are trying to start a local or even a state club--since there are so few of us here. Hey vishnu...sorry i could not make it up there for the rose this winter..your tank upgrade looks great I wish I had enough guts to up grade mine..might do it this fall. Anyway, if anyone is interested in group buys we do them every two to three months on livestock and equipment. Our local LFS's are not so great.....

Hey Mike

I will be at Dr Foster and Smith end of June for the Frag Swap. If you need anything let me know. I think I will be driving back from Rhinelander via Fargo.

LOL, I think North Dakota reefers is about like Wyoming. Everyone is about as far apart as they can be and still live in the same state. I was born and raised in Williston.

I'm in Detroit Lakes. Much of North Dakota's population moves here in the summer.

I'm in Thief River Falls, MN which is one hour east of Grand Forks. We post here: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=65

I am interested in meeting others in the area too as I am new to the area. I am trying to get locals togetrher for some reef club type events and espcially communication.

Where in ND are you michaeltwana??

Hey joeychitwood, you got any other reefers down there?? What about LFS's down there, anything good?? I've asked about the Grand Forks/Fargo area and there doesn't seem to be much.

We should all post in a common forum because it will get lost real qquick here in the General Forum. Try the Red River Valley Forum until we can figure it out!!

There is a great reef and marine store in Detroit Lakes, Becker Pet and Garden. Lon at the store is very knowledgeable and has a good inventory with new critters coming in all the time. I feel very lucky to have his store here.

Looks like a 2 hour drive for me. Could be worth it. Since he doesn't have a website (that I can locate), can you fill me in a little bit, maybe tell me what he has, how good is the livestock, good selection of hardware and other??

The DL LFS has mostly soft corals and LPS. He carries a nice variety of common marine fish. He usually doesn't have clams or SPS. He gets frequent shipments, so I'd call him and ask when the shipments are due. I've been very satisfied with the quality of the livestock. He also has a lot of live rock.

I am talking about the link I posted above. Reef Central has a forum here for us to use, I say we use it.
