Greetings from www.reefhotspot.com,

Thanks to everyone for posting your beautiful tanks in our previous 4 threads. Please post again and encourage others to post their tanks as well. The more posts we receive the more free coral we'll be giving away!

Win our tank challenge and we will give you the coral of your choice delivered to your door for FREE! Gotta love that. The competition will be closed at the end of the day 6/20 and the winner will be posted on 6/21.

Why are we giving away free coral? It's simple. We believe that we have better corals at a better price than our competitors. While you are on our site, compare our prices and selection.

So. . .competition rules. Again, pretty simple. Post a picture of your tank in this thread. Below the picture of your tank post the web address of the specific coral that you would like if you win. The coral can have a value of up to $100. The coral must be shipped within 7 days of winning. If the coral of your choice should not be available at the time at which the competition is concluded, then you have the option of picking another coral of a value up to $100 as a replacement within 7 days of the conclusion of the competion. Again, everything about the transaction is free.

Criteria for picking winner: A beautiful, healthy tank that we'd be happy to ship a coral to on our dime. That's all. Note: We are not running a "perfect tank" competition so if you are a beginner or already have a fully stocked tank please enter.

That's all folks! Who's going to be the winner?

Check out our new arrivals section for corals:

And be sure to check out our specials pages where you'll find great deals! http://www.reefhotspot.com/store/specials.php

Here is my tank, a 180, been running for a year, but due to my health problems, and just had a son born, haven't had a lot of money to buy corals and fish. Only 1 fish in tank now, kole tang. Tank is all LPS, never had luck with SPS.

Frag moving hippo (this frag is all tissue, there is no bare spots that have algea) she loves to rearrange any new frags brought into the tank. She picks them up and puts them in the sand and then leaves them alone till I put it back up on the rocks.

Once its been in for a couple weeks she will leave it alone and never touches it again (or if I epoxy it down first, but I have to do that at night).

Took me weeks to get that video, I was hiding behind a sofa on the other side of the room with the camera resting on the arm rest.

She won't act up if she spots me. Anytime I am around she is the perfect citizen.

Glove,

Looks great. I like the shallow depth and length. Personally, I've had deeper tanks but there is always an inefficiency with deeper reef tanks that I think is never really recouped.

Very nice tank.

Cham,

Hah! What a malevolent little hippo. In this business, one hear all kinds of things. Got to have the video to prove it. :)

I have heard a few stories about yellow tangs actually being coral predators. Personally, I once had a Md/Large Kole tang that would devour, and I mean shred, GSPs. Never touched anything else.

Hey Max!!

Absolutely, the reason I spent the time to make the video was the local reefers doubted it on our forums. So I took a vid to prove it.

She is actually a very peaceful fish. She does pick on my starry blenny, but anytime she is confronted she runs for cover. Easily startled too.

Even now there are ones that say "there has to be algea that she is picking at". Even when I tell them that its all coral tissue they are in doubt.

No biggie, doesn't bother me. I know what I see and what my fish does. Fortunately she only likes nori & mysid, never any coral eating issues.

Cham,

Yeah, it isn't uncommon for fish to move things around but you get the impression from the vid that she isn't even particularly fond of that spot in tank. You definitely have a character on your hands.

We keep algae blennies in our reef line holding tanks here and it isn't uncommon to be able to give them a little rub on the head after a while. That always surprised me

Max
